Coolant VCS-2 Orange

This is a high-performance coolant based on organic additive technology (OAT), developed for the materials used in the newer generation of Volvo Penta engines and electric drivelines. It prevents freezing and overheating while providing maximum protection for components.  

It has an improved coolant-oxidation stability, less metal corrosion and better rubber/plastic compatibility. The inhibitors in VCS-2 are free from 2-EHA and meet stricter regulatory requirements on the removal of toxic components in coolants to improve health and the environment.  

The benefits of Volvo Penta Coolant VCS-2:

• Prevents the coolant from freezing in cold temperatures • Prevents the coolant from boiling in hot temperatures • Prevents corrosion and rust of metal parts in the cooling circuit and engine • Extends the life of rubber and plastic components of the coolant system • Prevents electrolysis (corrosion caused when coolant breaks down and becomes electrically charged) • Four years change interval • The coolant is mixable with VCS Coolant (yellow)

Note! Do not mix Volvo Penta Coolant VCS-2 (orange) and Volvo Penta Coolant (green).  They are formulated for the specific requirements of different engine generations and contain unique additives that are not compatible. 

Always use the same Volvo Penta coolant type that was initially delivered with the engine. Check the operator’s manual.
